Performs tasks that do not require nursing judgements or administration of medications.</p> <p>EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school graduate or equivalent, business school or formal secretarial training a plus. One to two years' minimum experience preferred. Patient care experience, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in orientation, annual competencies, continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge/skills related to specific areas of expertise as applicable, including but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Spine Surgery Program</p> </li><li> <p>Shoulder Surgery Program</p> </li><li> <p>Hip & Knee Replacement Program</p> </li><li> <p>Stroke</p> </li><li> <p>Wound Care</p> </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>PC and appropriate software knowledge, knowledge of office equipment and supplies. A solid understanding of department related terminology. Good communication skills both oral and written as well as good interpersonal skills required. Customer service oriented. Service specific skills.</p> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:</p> <p>Office/Clinical setting. Exposure Class I: Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Light to Medium work (depending on the unit assignment). Requires standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying.</p> <p>Pay Range: $17.86-25.00</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
