This role involves instructing adult learners in General Educational Development (GED) preparation. The goal is to equip students with essential knowledge and skills to support their growth as mature, capable, and responsible individuals.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Teach adult students in GED content areas. </li><li>Develop and implement lesson plans that meet educational standards and student needs. </li><li>Foster a supportive and respectful learning environment. </li><li>Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance. </li><li>Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance and achievement. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid State Certification in teaching areas:</p> </li><li> <p>GED (107)</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience working effectively with adult learners.</p> </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish. </li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>PERFORMANCE EVALUATION:</p> <p>Performance will be evaluated by the Director of Adult Education or a designated representative.</p> <p>New London Public Schools</p> <p>New London, Connecticut</p> <p>New London Public School District is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.</p> <p>Candidates from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.</p>
