This position both performs and oversees skilled, advanced-level duties of inspection, repair, maintenance, and installation of HVAC equipment and controls.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES - Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.</p> <ul> <li>Operates, maintains, installs, repairs, replaces, troubleshoots, test and responds to routine and emergency service calls as they relate to HVAC systems and its components. </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on HVAC according to established scheduled and provide input for upgrade or modification. </li><li>Assists in the design, installation and commissioning of new and modification of existing HVAC and process equipment system and its components. </li><li>Assists with maintenance and operation of building automation system, fire protection systems, security systems and other tasks as they apply to demands of the department. </li><li>Provides training and mentoring to others in the operation and repair of HVAC. </li><li>Utilizes CMMS to track preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and create work orders. Provide detailed written reports and daily pass down logs for internal use. </li><li>Develops new and improves existing SOPs to effectively document process and procedures. </li><li>Identify, implement, and document HVAC equipment and BAS improvement opportunities. </li><li>Oversee and direct work completed by outside contractors and service providers. </li><li>Complete assigned work orders, prepare cost estimates for approved repairs, and order materials in accordance with Thorne procedures. </li><li>Maintain a variety of records of completed work including blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and logs. </li><li>Assist in developing specifications and other technical data in support of budgeting, capital projects, and scopes of work to be completed by others. </li><li>Assist with developing or improving preventative maintenance tasks and plans. </li><li>Observe and comply with FDA/TGA/NSF and other regulatory requirements and Thorne Standard Operating Procedures. </li><li>Observe and comply with relevant federal, state, and local building codes. </li><li>Adhere to all site standards for safety, quality, housekeeping and security. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What You Need:</p> <ul> <li>Required Qualifications </li><li>Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through job experience and technical/apprentice school certification. </li><li>Minimum of 6 years of experience with increasing responsibilities in maintaining commercial HVAC equipment and BAS controls. </li><li>Demonstrated experience coordinating small projects and overseeing work completed by others. </li><li>EPA Universal CFC certification. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of Carrier, Daikin HVAC control devices and Carrier iVu Pro BAS software preferred </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <p>At Thorne, we offer employees the chance to work with great people on exciting projects, with opportunity for growth.
