Market Street, Iowa City, IA) is a 194-bed hospital that became part of Iowa's only comprehensive academic health system on Jan. 31, 2024.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Under direct supervision, operates and maintains specialized equipment for use in tests and studies related to patient treatment and staff teaching.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepares area and materials for patient testing, requiring knowledge of medical equipment and its proper usage. </li><li>Performs routine technical measurements using specialized medical equipment to determine changing conditions of a patient. </li><li>Records and maintains information obtained during equipment tests to facilitate interpretation of the data and meet established equipment review guidelines/protocols. </li><li>Distributes information to appropriate areas and personnel. </li><li>Performs routine maintenance of equipment to ensure operational condition at all times. </li><li>Assists in training new personnel to operate and maintain equipment. </li><li>Assembles emergency trays and accessory equipment. </li><li>Escorts patients to examination rooms. </li><li>Assists higher-level staff in performance of their duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Percent of Time: 90%</p> <p>Schedule: Days - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm</p> <p>Merit Pay Plan: https://hr.uiowa.edu/pay/pay-plans/merit-alpha-matrix</p> <p>Location: Downtown Campus</p> <p>Pay Differentials: Shift differentials for evening and night.</p> <p>Benefits Highlights: Fringe benefit package including paid vacation; sick leave; health, dental, life and disability insurance options; and generous employer contributions into retirement plans.
