In this rewarding role, you'll have a direct impact on residents' daily lives by helping them feel safe, comfortable, and respected.</p> <p>You'll work alongside a supportive team of caregivers and nursing staff who are committed to providing exceptional care and creating meaningful connections with residents and families.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Personal Care Attendant provides hands-on assistance with activities of daily living while supporting residents' emotional well-being and quality of life. This role functions as part of an interdisciplinary care team and upholds Americare's standards, values, and commitment to resident-centered care.</p> <p>This role may also be known as:</p> <p>Personal Care Attendant (PCA), Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Personal Support Aide.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility </li><li>Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity </li><li>Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition </li><li>Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required </li><li>Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs </li><li>Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being </li><li>Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies </li><li>Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>CPR and BLS certifications are a plus - training available </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Friendly, patient, and positive attitude </li><li>Strong listening and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team </li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to resident comfort and safety </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed </li><li>Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance </li><li>Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role is performed in an indoor senior living environment designed to promote comfort, safety, and engagement.
