<p>Qualified candidates will be employed through Dedicated School Staffing formerly Wixey & Associates staffing agency.</p> <p>DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision of a teacher, the Instructional Assistant assists the teacher in implementing the daily educational program.</p> <p>LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Ohio Department of Education Educational Aide license or ability to obtain license </li></ol> <p>KSAs:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the Operating Standards for Ohio's Schools Serving Children with Disabilities </li><li>Knowledge of classroom management techniques </li><li>Knowledge of CPI </li><li>Knowledge of CPR and First Aid </li><li>Ability to recognize and react appropriately to individual needs of students </li><li>Ability to establish effective relationships with students with a wide range of physical and intellectual capabilities </li><li>Ability to deal effectively with student behavior problems </li><li>Ability to restrain students over 150 lbs. </li><li>Ability to use technology as both a productivity tool and as a method of communication; proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office </li><li>Ability to maintain accurate student records • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA requirements </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, co-workers, administrators, and public </li><li>Ability to work with team to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate program progress and implement changes </li></ul>
