<p>Piper Companies is seeking a Desktop Technician for a long-term contract opportunity to join an established Healthcare Organization in Philadelphia, PA. This position is 100% onsite and will require occasional local travel to multiple sites within the area.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Technician:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the replacement and configuration of PCs and network devices. </li><li>Check and modify IP addresses on network equipment as needed. </li><li>Execute basic network diagnostic commands on switches, such as the "show" command, to gather information. </li><li>Perform network cable testing using Fluke testing tools to ensure connectivity and signal quality. </li><li>Support the IT team in troubleshooting network issues related to hardware and configuration. </li><li>Document and report findings from network tests and device configurations. </li><li>Provide on-site support for network equipment and PC installations. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications of the Technician:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Windows 10/11, Lenovo Hardware, general PC support </li><li>Ability to check and modify IP addresses on network devices. </li><li>Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). </li><li>Experience with Fluke testing tools for cable testing and network configuration. </li><li>Familiarity with network hardware - routers and switches. </li><li>Experience providing on-site support for PC/network issues. </li><li>Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools. </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Technician:</p> <ul> <li>Rate: $26-$28 per hour <em>Depending on experience</em> </li><li>Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Mileage reimbursement for local travel, sick leave as required by law </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 02/20/2026.
