This position assists in coordinating the creative video production elements, including but not limited to filming and editing of all athletic department video content as it relates to our website content, social media strategy, game productions, and any other special projects as assigned. Serve as primary creative video contact for Men's Basketball and select Olympic sports.</p> <p>All duties must be completed in compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.</p> <p>Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. The University is an equal opportunity employer and seeks candidates who understand, respect and can contribute to the University's mission and values.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Video Production & Editing</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to all aspects of creative video production for the Athletics department, to include script writing, shooting, editing, and producing content that includes highlight videos, game-day content, promotional pieces, interviews, long form story telling series, and sport specific video board intros for web, social media, and in-venue platforms. </li><li>Ensure all content meets brand, accessibility, and quality standards. </li></ul> <p>Content Management & Archiving</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the acquisition, ingest, archive and quality control of all content going into the Villanova Athletics Video Asset Management System, as well as the delivery of content to conference, network and internal campus partners. </li><li>Catalog and maintain video archives for all sports. </li><li>Manage metadata and organization within the Athletics Video Asset Management System. </li><li>Responsible for the maintenance and acquisition of creative video equipment, as assigned. Troubleshoot video equipment; recommend upgrades as needed. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Creative Support</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Athletics Marketing, Communications, Broadcast departments and external vendors to design, plan, and produce videos and digital assets that align with departmental initiatives, including storytelling, social media, recruiting, marketing, ticket sales, videoboard, and donor engagement. </li><li>Identify trends and themes across different types of video content to continue to tell our Villanova Athletics story in a compelling and innovative way. </li><li>Identify emerging trends and tools in sports media to enhance storytelling and fan engagement. </li><li>Assist Associate Athletics Director for Marketing with scheduling of post-graduate intern, student work force and freelancers staff. </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Handle media, institutional, and internal requests for footage. </li><li>Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Formal Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, film production, digital media, or a related field. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>0-2 years of experience in video production, multimedia content creation, or related field in a fast-paced environment of social media and technology. </li><li>Experience with video editing and live production setups. </li></ul> <p>Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills)</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must possess excellent technical, video production, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate creativity in both shooting and editing, and produce innovative content without direct supervision. </li><li>Collaborative team player with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. </li><li>Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver. </li></ul> <p>Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area)</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of video production processes, including scripting, filming, lighting, sound, and editing. </li><li>Familiarity with social and digital media trends in collegiate athletics. </li></ul> <p>Equipment Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Experience operating video cameras and related equipment. </li><li>Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects). </li><li>Knowledge of professional and cinematic video camera equipment required, including but not limited to Sony Cinema Line cameras and lenses (Fx3, Fx6, and Fx9), DJI gimbal systems and more. </li></ul> <p>Other:</p> <ul> <li>Professional work environment with significant night and weekend hours. </li><li>Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and University rules. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Work Experience</p> <ul> <li>One or more years of direct experience working in video production, multimedia content creation, or related field in a fast-paced environment of social media and technology. </li><li>Experience producing video content for Athletics or sports broadcasting. </li><li>Experience with live-streaming setups and multi-camera productions. </li><li>Experience in a managerial or leadership role directing students and/or graduate externs </li></ul> <p>Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area)</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with asset management systems and workflow optimization. </li><li>Knowledge of accessibility standards and captioning requirements. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:</p> <p>Working Conditions/Environment: (conditions, if known, which may impact the</p> <p>incumbent working in this position)</p> <p>Tools, machinery and equipment used:</p> <ul> <li>Video Cameras: Professional and prosumer-level cameras (e.g., Sony FX series, Canon, or similar). </li><li>Stabilization Gear: Tripods, monopods, and gimbal systems (e.g., DJI). </li><li>Lighting & Audio: Portable lighting kits, microphones, and audio recorders for interviews and live shoots. </li><li>Editing Software: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects), and other video editing tools. </li><li>Streaming Equipment: Hardware and software for live streaming athletic events. </li><li>Computers & Accessories: High-performance workstations for video editing, external storage drives, and asset management systems. </li></ul> <p>Physical requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Professional office and athletic venue settings with frequent travel to games and events </li><li>Significant evening , weekend and holiday hours required to support Athletics schedules. </li><li>Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, and setting up video equipment;
