<p>Job Title: RN</p> <p>Location: RWJUH Rahway Hospital</p> <p>Department Name: Post Intensive Care Unit-II</p> <p>Req #: 0000227362</p> <p>Status: Hourly</p> <p>Shift: Day</p> <p>Pay Range: $46.90 - $63.09 per hour</p> <p>Pay Transparency:</p> <p>The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.</p> <p>The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.</p> <p>The Staff Nurse working on the Post Intensive Care unit will provide advanced and outstanding care to patients.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1 year plus of Post Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience </li><li>Strong critical thinking/assessment skills. </li><li>Completion of all Orientation requirements. </li><li>Successful completion of all Orientation Programs. </li></ul> <p>Certifications and Licenses Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current and active New Jersey RN licensure is required or Compact License with NJ endorsement. </li><li>Baccalaureate Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing </li><li>American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) upon hire </li><li>American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within 6 months from date of hire </li></ul> <p>Scheduling Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Day Shift </li><li>Full Time </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. </li><li>The Registered Nurse assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of their own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others in the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available. </li><li>The Registered Nurse is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors. </li><li>The Registered Nurse is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served. </li><li>The Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. </li><li>The Registered Nurse is responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. </li><li>The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and the interdisciplinary team manager, who utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs. </li></ul> <p>Benefits and Perks:</p> <p>At RWJBarnabas Health, our employees are at the heart of everything we do.
