It's a "small town feel" of customer care that we couple with "Big Bank" technology to give us the perfect mix of banking. We have an opening for a Branch Manager who will be responsible for our two branches in Elkhart, Indiana.</p> <p>As a Branch Manager, you are expected to perform all management tasks to maintain a customer friendly atmosphere within the banking center. Our branch managers work with staff to develop customer service skills and knowledge. The end goal is a branch team that can perform all teller and platform services with the highest level of service standards.</p> <p>You need to have an understanding of the branch banking environment to be able to coordinate day to day functions of staff including procedure follow up, office security, cash handling and compliance. From time to time you will need to perform teller or new account platform functions as needed by staffing levels and customer traffic while demonstrating the desired customer care standards. You will be responsible building relationships with current customers and implementing plans to develop new customer relationships for the bank.</p> <p>Here are tasks you will perform on a regular basis:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Supervise banking center employees, oversee daily operations, maintain optimum staff levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Welcome and establish relationships with customers and prospects.</p> </li><li> <p>Support all members of your branch team in their development as bankers.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide feedback and updates to employees through regularly scheduled branch team meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate customers on how to leverage technology (on-line banking, ATM, mobile banking) to conveniently process transactions.</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively refer customers to other areas of the Bank to deepen customer relationships and build strong internal partnerships.</p> </li><li> <p>Make decisions quickly and accurately based upon experience and knowledge.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to all operational, security, risk and regulatory policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare various monthly reports of progress and audits.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend community events and activities to enhance public awareness of the bank and to build relationships with multiple centers of influence.</p> </li></ul> <p>And from time to time you will:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee internal and external facility upkeep and maintenance. </li><li>Attend scheduled meetings and product training sessions. </li><li>Assist other departments as needed on projects and other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>We are look for candidates with the following qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5 or more years of financial institution experience preferred </li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills </li><li>Proven ability to develop employees as a manager </li><li>2-year or 4-year degree post high school preferred, but not required </li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate well with employees, colleagues and customers verbally and in written form </li><li>Comfort with technology including mobile and online banking services as well as the Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Physical requirements of the job:</p> <ul> <li>You may be seated for long periods of time </li><li>You may stand for long periods of time </li><li>You need to be able to consistently lift 20 pounds </li></ul> <p>FIRST STATE BANK is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</p>
