Flooring installers are the front line of Floor Coverings International, executing on our quality and craftsmanship at each job. Our install teams leave the lasting impression that determines our success. We respect the customer and their home, we deliver what we promise, and we clean up.</p> <p>This role will be responsible for the output of the team, starting with a 2 person team (Lead and Helper) that will develop into a 3 person team. Floor Coverings International - RVA is a growing business that will generate new opportunities as the growth continues.</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Pay up to $30/hour </li><li>Regular Bonus opportunities </li><li>Company health insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Work / life balance </li><li>Other benefits provided </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prep and install the flooring in steps according to company's procedures with high attention to detail and care </li><li>Keep tools organized and clean and maintain a safe and clean work environment </li><li>Understanding the scope of work of the project before you get there and familiarize yourself with the project file </li><li>Responsible to properly handle company machinery and power tools </li><li>Knowledge of units of measurement and able to complete simple math calculations </li><li>Interact with customers in a friendly and polite manner, must be trustworthy and comfortable in a customer's home </li><li>Ensure high quality company standards are met every time </li><li>Work to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with every aspect of the job </li><li>Job requires travel throughout the week </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5 years in flooring installation with various hard surface floors (floating, glue down, nail/staple hardwood, sand and refinish, etc.) </li><li>Valid driver's license </li><li>Ability to lift 50 - 75+ lbs. repeatedly </li><li>The position requires repetitive crouching, squatting, standing, walking and lifting </li><li>This position travels to various work locations throughout the week </li></ul>
