<p>The Donor Relations Student Employee will support the Office of Donor Relations in thanking, stewarding, and recognizing Utah Valley University donors. This role involves creating personalized thank you videos, making stewardship phone calls, assisting with mailings, organizing SWAG (gifts and promotional items), and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Success in this role requires a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive work atmosphere.</p> <p>Personalized Donor Stewardship: </p> <ul> <li>Assist in producing thank you videos for donors, ensuring that each video is tailored to the donor's contribution and impact. </li><li>Conduct phone calls to donors to thank them for their gifts, update contact information, and invite them to engage with the university. </li></ul> <p>Mailings:</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Donor Relations team in the distribution of donor mailings, including acknowledgments, reports, and recognition pieces. </li></ul> <p>SWAG Organization</p> <ul> <li>Manage the organization of SWAG used for donor recognition and events. </li></ul> <p>Event Support</p> <ul> <li>Provide occasional support for donor events, including setup and coordination. </li></ul> <p>Must be a current UVU Student</p> <ul> <li>General understanding of the importance of donor stewardship and recognition. </li><li>Familiarity with creating simple videos, such as using a smartphone or basic editing software. </li><li>Awareness of general mailing processes, including sorting and preparing materials for distribution. </li><li>Communication skills: Clear verbal and written communication, essential for making thank you calls and videos. </li><li>Organizational skills: Good attention to detail, important for managing SWAG, organizing mailings, and keeping track of various tasks. </li><li>Technical proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, familiarity with simple video recording and editing. Adobe Suite experience is a plus. </li><li>Customer service: Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with donors over the phone. </li><li>Ability to create and deliver thank you messages that are thoughtful and appropriate to the donor's contribution. </li><li>Ability to manage time effectively, balancing various tasks. </li><li>Willingness to work as part of a team, learning from others and contributing to shared goals. </li><li>Respect for privacy and the ability to handle donor information responsibly. </li></ul>
