<p>Job Title: 8th Grade Math Teacher (Maternity Leave Position)</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>Frankfort Middle School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated 8th Grade Math Teacher to cover a maternity leave from October through December. The successful candidate will provide high-quality math instruction, maintain a positive and structured classroom environment, and support student growth in alignment with Indiana academic standards.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging daily instruction in 8th grade Math, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra & Geometry </li><li>Implement lesson plans aligned to state standards and curriculum pacing guides. </li><li>Assess, monitor, and report student progress through formative and summative assessments. </li><li>Create a classroom environment that fosters respect, responsibility, and a growth mindset. </li><li>Provide differentiation and support to meet the needs of diverse learners. </li><li>Collaborate with grade-level and content-area teams to ensure continuity of instruction. </li><li>Communicate regularly with parents/guardians and school staff regarding student progress. </li><li>Maintain accurate records, including attendance, grades, and any required documentation. </li><li>Uphold school policies, procedures, and expectations. </li><li></li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field. </li><li>Valid Indiana Teaching License in Mathematics 5-9 or 6-12 preferred. </li><li>Experience teaching middle school students (preferred). </li><li>Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. </li><li>Commitment to supporting student learning and academic success. </li><li></li></ul> <p>To Apply: Please submit your application, resume, cover letter, and references through the Community Schools of Frankfort employment portal.
