<p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Part-Time Java Developer with a minimum of five (5) years of experience to support ongoing project needs. This role requires a strong technical foundation in enterprise and legacy Java technologies, along with flexibility to contribute across multiple workstreams as project demands evolve.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Java-based enterprise applications </li><li>Utilize Apache Struts framework and EclipseLink (JPA) for application development </li><li>Support and maintain applications deployed on Oracle WebLogic Server </li><li>Perform and remediate Fortify static code scans, ensuring adherence to security standards </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development and production environments </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and project teams to deliver effective solutions </li><li>Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a variety of project-related tasks as needed </li><li>Assist with documentation, testing, and deployment activities </li><li>Support tasks outside of core development responsibilities to ensure overall project success </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information science, or software engineering </li><li>Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience </li><li>Strong proficiency in Java (J2EE/Java EE) </li><li>Hands-on experience with Apache Struts, EclipseLink (JPA), Oracle WebLogic Server, Fortify (static code analysis and remediation) </li><li>Experience working within enterprise or legacy system environments </li><li>Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity </li><li>Must be a U.S. citizen and undergo a background check for Public Trust </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li></ul> <p>Pay Transparency Statement</p> <p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $94,400.00/Yr. - USD $157,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
