This includes, but is not limited to, contributing expertise in the following areas:</p> </li><li> <p>Faculty resources, including content creation, e.g., instructional materials, videos, and related instructional technology information</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in Faculty Development initiatives, including but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Support, develop, and present at webinars, workshops, and seminars</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the Faculty Newsletter periodical</p> </li><li> <p>Support faculty and course developers in implementing WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, ensuring digital course materials and instructional content are accessible to all learners</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct new faculty training and instruction via the New Faculty Online Orientation, mentoring, and support</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with IT and/or the Educational Technology team on the choice, launch, and support of educational technology tools and initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Develop new resources to support faculty in all aspects of teaching and learning</p> </li><li> <p>Consult with faculty on individual development of teaching techniques, development of course materials, and other course design elements as requested</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in analyzing teaching effectiveness data (online course design reviews, onsite classroom observations, instructor/course evaluations, etc.) to drive faculty development initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support to faculty, programs, departments, and colleges in the areas of instructional design, syllabi development, classroom management, andragogy, and other relevant aspects of teaching and learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Background/Expertise:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field is required. </li><li>A Quality Matters certification is preferred. </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of experience in promoting the effective use of technology in education, with a proven track record of leading successful initiatives related to technology-enhanced learning, teaching, or assessment. </li><li>In-depth understanding of current trends and developments in the higher education landscape, especially in relation to learning technologies and their evolving applications. </li><li>Strong foundation in learning sciences, particularly as they apply to adult education environments. </li><li>Knowledge of best practices for supporting faculty in graduate-level teaching, with a focus on effectiveness and efficiency. </li><li>Demonstrated experience consulting with instructors across a variety of disciplines and teaching modalities. </li><li>Experience as an instructor of record for higher education courses, webinars, or professional development workshops. </li><li>Skilled in using teaching effectiveness data to inform and shape faculty development programs. </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software; experienced in managing databases at the institutional level. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies for audiences at all organizational levels. </li><li>Familiarity with best practices in technical project management and in the design of learning technologies and ecosystems. </li><li>Advanced computer literacy and the ability to rapidly learn and master new technologies. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to motivate others and foster a culture of excellence. </li><li>Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. </li><li>Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. </li><li>Highly organized, reliable, and capable of managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines. </li></ul> <p>RMU is an equal-opportunity employer.
