Jefferson County is proud of our small-town living options and easy access to major urban centers.</p> <p>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The Children, Youth & Family Professional I/II assesses safety risks and supports stability for children and families through crisis management, case coordination, and collaboration with community partners, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>WHAT YOU WILL DO The Child, Youth and Family Professional I/II position is focused on Child Protective Services duties. To provide efficient services to protect all our children in need, the CHIPS team is looking to hire another CPS Ongoing Professional to join the team. This role will provide services and organize resources for families that are involved with the Department due to legal findings of child Abuse and/or maltreatment.</p> <p>SOME ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES You will be successful in this role by completing the following tasks and responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assesses child and community safety through face-to-face and collateral contacts with family, care providers, translators, medical providers, school staff, probation and parole, and resources within Human Services and determines appropriate courses of action. </li><li>Prepares and provides court testimony at court hearings that represent the best interests and safety of the children. </li><li>Advocates for and supports permanent outcomes for children and youth in out-of-home care, ensuring they achieve stable and lasting placement. </li><li>Collaborates in staffing, family team meetings, and other multidisciplinary meetings to ensure informed decision making and to facilitate necessary services in the best interest of the children, youth and families. </li><li>Documents and reports interactions in compliance with departmental policies and Wisconsin State Statues accurately and timely including but not limited to assessments, plans, evaluations, reviews, progress notes, and reports. </li><li>Proficient knowledge and application of the Children's Code Chapter 48; the CPS Access, Initial, and Ongoing Standards; and Safety Standards. </li><li>Advanced understanding and training in trauma-informed care, sex trafficking, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. Proficiency in Chapter 48 (Children's Code), and Family Find/Family Teaming models. </li><li>Variety of other tasks provided on the posted job description. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Child, Youth and Family Professional I The starting hourly wage range is $28.18 - 29.80/hour depending on education and experience. Potential to earn up to $37.09/hour dependent on successful annual reviews.</p> <p>Child, Youth and Family Professional II The starting hourly wage range is $30.37 - $32.12/hour depending on education and experience.
