Also, please include a statement verifying that you are able to attend the entirety of camp and training.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applications for ELA instructors for the 2025 Math Corps UM-Dearborn summer camp. The applicant must have high grades (on the supplied school transcript) in English related courses.</p> <p>Students will be required to mentor teams of college, middle school, and high school students. This involves giving lectures on literary topics and monitoring the students throughout the day, grading assignments and recording grades, supervising students at afternoon activities, and monitoring students' arrival and dismissal.</p> <p>Responsibilities*</p> <p>Instructors will be directly responsible for teaching and mentoring a team of middle school and high school kids. The key responsibilities of this position are:</p> <ul> <li>Explaining literacy topics to middle school students </li><li>Preparing creative writing activities for the assigned book(s) </li><li>Developing strong working relationships with team </li><li>Attend an afternoon debriefing session with the camp director. </li><li>Monitor students throughout the day. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Camp will run Mondays through Fridays from 8:30AM - 4:30PM. The camp dates are Monday, July 7th through Thursday, August 7th.</p> <p>Modes of Work</p> <p>Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
