<p>CONTROLS ENGINEER | PORTLAND, TN</p> <ul> <li>Utilizes PLC/HMI skills and knowledge to resolve problems, contribute to development of new products/processes and maintenance/improvement of existing equipment/processes. </li><li>Completes the actual PLC programming and HMI screen programming for production projects. </li><li>Collects and analyzes data, justify procedural changes or process modifications, and established operating procedures for the plant throughout the life of continuous improvement projects. </li><li>Identify Improvement Opportunities in existing manufacturing operations </li><li>Optimizes processes to attain lower manufacturing costs, increased productivity and reduced cycle times. </li><li>Contributes to project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives. </li><li>Identifies training needs and develops training and standard operating procedures for employees to ensure effective use of continuous process improvement methodologies. </li><li>Works closely with the Health and Safety team, to ensure safe practices are not sacrificed by procedural changes or process modifications. </li><li>Find solutions to problem areas in existing operational procedures. </li><li>Identifies/communicates/overcomes obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirements. </li><li>Promotes a clean/safe work environment. </li><li>Find solutions to problem areas in existing operational procedures. </li><li>Contributes to project teams to ensure the successful completion of team objectives. </li><li>Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control. </li><li>Identifies/communicates/overcomes obstacles that may prohibit meeting production requirements. </li><li>Designs, programs, maintains, and troubleshoots PLC controls for industrial manufacturing equipment. </li><li>Designs, programs, and maintains user interface for machines and systems. </li><li>Produces and maintains wiring diagrams and schematics. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proven knowledge of Rockwell Automation and Keyence PLC systems </li><li>Experience with deployment and use of Ignition while connected to machinery </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering </li><li>5+ years' experience in similar role (Controls Engineering) </li><li>Experienced with Controls Panel design </li></ul> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
