Volunteers are an integral part of our LDS Hospital family, providing consistent and valuable support in a variety of departments throughout the hospital and contributing to the extraordinary patient care experience.</p> <p>This is an unpaid position that gives you the opportunity to use your talents, meet new people and experience the reward that comes from making a difference in people's lives.</p> <p>We are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to serve in such areas as:</p> <p>Surgical Waiting Room - Keeping family updated with information regarding their family member who is having surgery</p> <p>Emergency Room - Assisting patients/staff in the Emergency Room meeting their needs</p> <p>Gift Shop - Assisting customers with their purchases, pricing items and using the cash register</p> <p>Front Information Desk - Engaging with individuals entering the hospital, assisting with wayfinding and escorting to appointments</p> <p>Women's Services Reception Desk - Assisting visitors presenting to Women's Services</p> <p>Department - Other Department Volunteer opportunities as needed</p> <p>Music - Playing Music in the Hospital Lobby</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Six-month commitment with a minimum of a 3-4 hour shift each week</p> <p>Must be at least 16 years of age</p> <p>Able to work alone and independently</p> <p>Good communication and listening skills</p> <p>Ability to follow instructions</p> <p>Ability to work with diverse populations</p> <p>Physical mobility (walking, bending, standing)</p> <p>Adequate hearing and vision</p> <p>Sensitive to patient and family situations</p> <p>Required:</p> <p>Passing a background check</p> <p>Agree to get a TB test</p> <p>Meet Immunization compliance</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>No Additional Description Available</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Intermountain Health LDS Hospital</p> <p>Work City:</p> <p>Salt Lake City</p> <p>Work State:</p> <p>Utah</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours:</p> <p>0</p> <p>Intermountain Health is an equal opportunity employer.
