You will find joy in small victories and be resilient in the face of setbacks all in a days' work.</p> <p>We will teach you to use the strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis to work with clients who have development delays, such as Autism. A Behavior Specialist provides direct 1:1 therapy for teaching life skills and behavior reduction to those with Autism in a school, center or home-based environment. The Behavior Specialist works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs. You will collaborate have the opportunity to collaborate with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives, all while receiving support and growth for your own career in the field.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Follows the instructions of the BCBA/program supervisor/teacher </li><li>Provides behavior assistance/interventions to assigned clients </li><li>Performs ABA related teaching strategies </li><li>Provides behavior support services </li><li>Provides crisis intervention </li><li>Review and Implement behavior intervention plans </li><li>Review and implement behavioral goals found within IEPs </li><li>Documents session per policies and procedures </li><li>Collects data accurately and efficiently </li><li>Strictly adhere to confidentiality requirements </li><li>Assist students in the development of independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines and personal hygiene. </li><li>Implement behavior management techniques in accordance with the directions given by the supervising teacher; including reinforcing appropriate behaviors in accordance with the teachers plan and supervising the student during these behavior management techniques </li><li>Additional job duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Benefits & Perks:</p> <p>Starting as a part-time opportunity, you will have an opportunity to grow your career in this purpose-filled industry where you can see results every day.
