<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Staff Accountant assists in completing periodic close procedures including preparing / entering journal entries, preparing month-end reconciliations, preparing / reviewing financial and non-financial reports, and other routine accounting activities. Additionally, this role has responsibility to post and reconcile domestics payrolls and ensure compliance with external reporting requirements. Responsible for timeliness and accuracy of accounting records.</p> <p>Specific Responsibilities</p> <p>Complete monthly general accounting functions for the closing process. Prepare and post journal entries. Maintain accurate supporting documentation. Identify and resolve discrepancies. Prepare reports used in monthly financial package and management reports.</p> <p>Monthly importing and posting of domestic payrolls for FOTL, Russell, and VFB. Prepare monthly reconciliation to identify differences and post corrections to the general ledger when needed.</p> <p>Prepare monthly and quarterly government census reports for all domestic and international operations including manufacturing facilities which includes reporting financial and statistical information to various governmental agencies and to our parent company.</p> <p>Prepare account analysis and reconciliations.</p> <p>Assist with annual budget for various insurance premiums.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent years of related work experience. </li><li>Strong MS Office skills required. </li><li>Experience with Oracle systems a plus. </li><li>Effective communication internally and externally. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Strong problem solving and analytical abilities. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Job Experience Required</p> <ul> <li>1+ years of accounting experience </li></ul> <p>Company Information</p> <p>We offer the following:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Pay </li><li>Medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance </li><li>Vacation </li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>401(k) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li></ul>
