<p>UPMC St. Margaret is currently hiring a Full-Time Lead Pharmacist!</p> <p>This person to be the designated person in the specialty area of sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, and hazardous drug management. The schedule for this position is mainly Monday through Friday and is comprised of staffing shifts along with project time. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required. The hours are subject to change based on the business needs of the department. UPMC St. Margaret offers onsite parking, a competitive wage, and a generous total reward benefit package.</p> <p>If you are a pharmacist with compounding experience and the desire to take the next step, apply today to see where your career can go!</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Leadership & Mentorship</p> </li><li> <p>Coach and mentor staff through continuous feedback</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee daily activities and assist in training pharmacists, technicians, and trainees</p> </li><li> <p>Lead by example in customer service and resolve pharmacy-related concerns</p> </li><li> <p>Workflow & Process Optimization</p> </li><li> <p>Develop workflow guidelines and tools (e.g., assignment sheets, scheduling)</p> </li><li> <p>Standardize practices and maximize productivity</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate quality improvement and cost-reduction initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration & Communication</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain strong relationships with pharmacy, nursing, medical staff, and other departments</p> </li><li> <p>Provide timely, accurate drug information to providers, nurses, patients, and other personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Inventory & Procurement</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure adequate medication and supply inventory for patient care</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with procurement, recalls, and shortage mitigation plans</p> </li><li> <p>Education & Professional Development</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain professional competency through continuing education</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver formal and informal educational activities to diverse audiences</p> </li><li> <p>Compliance & Financial Stewardship</p> </li><li> <p>Implement Executive Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee decisions</p> </li><li> <p>Meet salary, drug, and purchased services budgets; explain variances as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate billing of claims and services</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years post-licensure health-system pharmacist experience. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>Pharmacist </li><li>Act 34 </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
