If you meet our background requirements and skills and are in search of an opportunity with these skills and expertise, here is the opportunity for you!</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Java Backend Lead to maintain survival critical backend services built using Java (Spring Boot, REST & SOAP Web Services) deployed in OpenShift and AWS. </li><li>Lead a team of support engineers to supervise and support the backend APIs. </li><li>Primary point of contact for customer concerns, critical production issues and built RCAs. </li><li>Solve & resolve issues related to application performance, availability, and reliability. </li><li>Coordinate with development, QA and infrastructure teams for RCA and permanent fixes </li><li>Implement monitoring and alerting strategies with Dynatrace & Splunk </li><li>Ensure accurate documentation of recurring issues, root causes and SOP. </li><li>Maintain SLA and critical metrics and ensure quick resolution of P1 & P2 incidents </li><li>Continuously improve support processes and promote automation where possible. </li><li>Work together with offshore team to provide Effective status reporting to cognizant and client leadership team. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Spring Boot, REST & SOAP Webservices, AWS, Angular, GitHub, Junit, Jenkins & uDeploy, JBoss </li><li>Secondary Skills: OpenShift, Python, Splunk, Dynatrace, Terraform, Autosys, BPEL, WebSphere, Linux & Shell Scripting </li><li>Strong understanding of REST API Design and standard methodologies </li><li>Should be Familiar with GIT, CI/CD pipelines and containerization </li><li>Proven experience with AWS cloud Services, IAM and infrastructure-as-a-code concepts </li><li>Strong debugging, fixing and performance tuning skills </li><li>Familiarity with Observability and logging tools such as Dynatrace & Splunk </li></ul> <p>Salary and Other Compensation:</p> <p>The annual salary for the position is between $63,000- $99,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.</p> <p>This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance </li><li>Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off </li><li>401(k) plan and contributions </li><li>Long-term/Short-term Disability </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>Employee Stock Purchase Plan </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer:</p> <p>The salary, other compensation, and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
