<p>Skilled work involving installation, maintenance, monitoring, testing, repair, and modification of traffic signals, traffic signal adaptive systems, and communication networks. Administrative and technical work coordinating the day-to-day preventative maintenance program. Assists contractors with installation, configuration, and interoperability of signal hardware and equipment.</p> <p>Salary will be determined depending on qualifications of candidates who exceed the minimum requirements as outlined within the job description.</p> <p>Additional compensation based on licensure.</p> <p>Skilled work involving installation, maintenance, monitoring, testing, repair, and modification of traffic signals, traffic signal adaptive systems, and communication networks. Administrative and technical work coordinating the day-to-day preventative maintenance program. Assists contractors with installation, configuration, and interoperability of signal hardware and equipment.</p> <p>High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years experience required.</p> <p>A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.</p> <p>Knowledge of and experience with traffic operations, theories, and set up practices.</p> <p>Must present ideas clearly and concisely orally and in writing.</p> <p>Perform functional and performance tests, analyze test results, detect programming errors and perform proper corrective action.</p> <p>Troubleshoot various video equipment, network equipment and Naztec signal equipment.</p> <p>Meet and deal effectively with the maintenance staff. Organize and prioritize tasks simultaneously.</p> <p>Must possess the ability to oversee the work of a team engaged in providing specific services, completing specific projects, or assisting other units.</p> <p>Ability to use standard electronic test equipment.</p> <p>Ability to learn techniques of traffic signal installation, maintenance and repair. Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, and blueprints for use in the planning and installation of traffic signals.</p> <p>Must possess and maintain a valid, CDL Class B, Florida Driver's License.</p> <p>Possession of an IMSA Level I and II certification and Work Zone certification are required.</p> <p>Knowledge needed to operate computer application software, such as ATMS.now.</p> <p>Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems, computers for data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes.</p> <p>Ability to learn techniques of traffic signal installation, maintenance and repair. Ability to read and interpret plans, sketches, and blueprints for use in the planning and installation of traffic signals.</p> <p>Knowledge needed to operate more complex and technical computer application software, such as ATMS.now.</p> <p>Ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, medium equipment and machinery, such as vehicles or commercial mowers,</p> <p>Ability to troubleshoot signal equipment</p> <p>Ability to lift more than 60 pounds.</p> <p>Ability to see (perceive color, depth, and texture), smell, hear (preferably at above average levels), and speak.</p>
