<p>Qualifications Required:</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate licensure (Science 5-8,) from the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and administrators </li><li>Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and dependability </li><li>Previous classroom or special education teacher experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Qualifications Prefered:</p> <ul> <li>Mathematics 5-8, DESE license </li><li>Middle School Mathematics / Science 5-8, DESE license </li><li>Technology/Engineering, 5-12 </li><li>Evaluator: Building Administration (Principal or Assistant Principals) </li></ul> <p>Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Department Head, Building Principal, and Director of Curriculum STEM</p> <p>General Responsibilities: Provide instructional guidance and support to teachers and students in a learning environment that will enable students to master the concepts and skills appropriate to age, grade level, and individual capacity.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate subject matter/instructional model knowledge </li><li>Demonstrate effective student engagement strategies </li><li>Develop inclusive classroom routines and practices </li><li>Contribute to the development of course scope and sequence </li><li>Design instruction that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of all students </li><li>Remain informed of/apply research and trends in content and teaching </li><li>Use data to inform instruction </li><li>Provide students with regular feedback </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to examine data and plan curriculum and instruction to ensure equitable learning experiences </li><li>Other related duties as assigned by building administrators </li></ul>
