<p>Department: Physical Therapy Henry Ford Southfield Campus</p> <p>FULL Time (40 hours per week) Day shift 8:00am-4:30pm with rotating weekends & holidays</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>Conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist. </li><li>Performs therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population. </li><li>Documents treatment interventions given. </li><li>May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: -</p> <ul> <li> <p>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</p> </li><li> <p>Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Michigan Board of Physical Therapy required.</p> </li><li> <p>Associate's degree</p> </li><li> <p>Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor patient progress and communicate observations to the supervising Physical Therapist to inform care plan adjustments.</p> </li><li> <p>Accurately document patient treatments and responses following facility standards and regulatory guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity and quality of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in supervising and mentoring physical therapy students and rehabilitation support staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to float to inpatient rehab as needed to provide coverage during staff absences.</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in acute care or inpatient rehab settings is preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Henry Ford Providence Hospitals </li><li>Department: Physical Therapy 001 </li><li>Shift: Day Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
