<p>Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,000 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.</p> <p>We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.</p> <p>Rogers Group is currently seeking an individual for the PROJECT ENGINEER position with our Operational Services and Support department located at our corporate office in Nashville, TN. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the planning, design, and execution of projects aimed at optimizing operations and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mining and construction processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of a leading organization in the aggregates industry.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Learn and integrate the company's safety culture, aggregate mining processes, and production facility operations during the initial training period (approximately six weeks). </li><li>Prepare project proposals, cost estimates, detailed designs, and schedules for upgrade and replacement projects at aggregate and asphalt plants. </li><li>Assist in project planning, permitting, cost estimation, and drafting detailed designs for plant retrofits and modifications. </li><li>Coordinate with external engineering firms, fabrication teams, and contractors to ensure project completion within scope, budget, and timeline. </li><li>Perform production process analysis using tools like AggFlow to identify bottlenecks and recommend efficiency improvements. </li><li>Provide technical support for and create detailed drawings for structural, civil, and mechanical designs of aggregate processing plants. </li><li>Assist in the alignment of production needs with plant capacities through thoughtful design and analysis. </li><li>Maintain accurate project documentation, including design drawings, reports, budgets, and proposals. </li><li>Communicate effectively with internal teams, company executives, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by management. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Mining Engineering (preferred).</p> </li><li> <p>2 years of related engineering experience or aggregate industry knowledge preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar drafting software.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with structural, civil, and mechanical designs, including concrete foundations, steel structures, and power transmission systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with plant erection, modification, or rebuild is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Analytical skills with the ability to identify and implement production process enhancements.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Disciplined and hard-working individual with willingness to work in both office and field environments in all climates, including aggregate and asphalt plant sites.</p> </li></ul> <p>Rogers Group provides extensive benefits, strong compensation, and a safe, drug-free working environment.</p> <p>As a Rogers Group employee, you will have access to our competitive company perks, including:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance plus Health Savings Account with annual company contribution. </li><li>Company provided Group Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance. </li><li>Retirement 401(k) with company contribution and match at one year of service. </li><li>Company provided Short- and Long-Term Disability. </li><li>Paid Holiday's including Christmas shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day. </li><li>Paid vacation available after 180-day probationary period and accrued based on years of service. </li><li>Annual performance-based merit increases. </li><li>Career growth/advancement opportunities. </li></ul> <p>RGI EEO Statement</p> <p>It is the policy of Rogers Group, Inc. to recruit, hire, and promote individuals based on demonstrated merit and qualifications.
