<p>We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious 2nd Class Operator to join our team in Camden, NJ. This hands-on role is essential to our material handling and logistics operations, requiring precision in operating forklifts and a commitment to maintaining site safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate possesses strong equipment operation knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, and a focus on teamwork. Key Responsibilities The 2nd Class Operator will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement, storage, and handling of materials and products.</p> <p>Equipment Operation:</p> <p>Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery with precision and efficiency to move, lift, and stack materials within the warehouse environment.</p> <p>Execute strong hand-foot-eye coordination to operate equipment controls, including shifting gears, pressing pedals, moving levers, and steering.</p> <p>Utilize order pickers to accurately retrieve items from elevated shelving for order fulfillment.</p> <p>Material Handling & Logistics:</p> <p>Execute the loading and unloading of materials, equipment, and supplies.</p> <p>Transport materials to and from designated areas, including picking and staging items accurately for outbound orders.</p> <p>Collaborate with the team to optimize workflow and productivity, offering guidance and support during dismantling and other operations.</p> <p>Safety & Compliance:</p> <p>Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations and procedures, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to ensure a secure working environment.</p> <p>Participate in site maintenance and general upkeep as required.</p> <p>Administrative:</p> <p>Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and inventory movements.</p> <p>Required Qualifications & Abilities Experience & Education</p> <p>High school diploma or GED equivalent.</p> <p>Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar material handling or warehouse operating role.</p> <p>Valid operator's license or certification for operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is highly preferred.</p> <p>Skills & Physical Requirements</p> <p>Proficiency in operating heavy equipment (e.g., forklifts).</p> <p>Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.</p> <p>Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including:</p> <p>Standing, moving around, and climbing onto equipment.</p> <p>Occasional bending and kneeling.</p> <p>Ability to lift, carry, and move objects up to 80 lbs as needed.</p> <p>This is a Union position.</p> <p>#L01</p>
