<p>Directs the nursing care provided to patients on a nursing unit. Maintains standards of service excellence and nursing practice. Develops evidenced based policies, procedures, and work processes to ensure provision of quality patient care. Responsible for staffing, budget, control of expenses,maintaining supplies and equipment, continuing development and education of staff, performance improvement, and human resource management. Supervises, evaluates, guides and counsels nursing staff in their work performance.
