We develop projects, lead M&A and project acquisition activities, provide project financing services, and invest in the development of new technologies across power, energy, transportation, communication, and other sectors. We have developed or co-developed over 70 projects ($46 billion in project costs) and have helped arrange over $54 billion in financing for Bechtel projects. Bechtel Enterprises is currently comprised of approximately 50 professionals with headquarters in Reston, Virginia and offices in Sydney, Perth, Singapore, London, Houston, New York and Washington, D.C.</p> <p>Financing Services</p> <p>Bechtel formed its financing services group, Bechtel Financing Services, Inc. in 1969 largely in response to the need to provide financing in support of many of Bechtel's international projects. Bechtel Financing Services was integrated into a new entity, Bechtel Enterprises, in 1985 and expanded its remit to include project financing for private infrastructure projects. Today, the Financing Services group in Bechtel Enterprises is responsible for providing financing support to all of Bechtel's Global Business Units and for leading financing activities on Bechtel Enterprises' development projects. Additionally, Financing Services provides financial analysis and M&A support to Bechtel.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>As a Director in Bechtel Enterprises' Financing Services group, you will be leading Bechtel Enterprises' efforts to secure financing for Bechtel projects. Supported by a team of associates, the Director will work to: confirm project economic and financial viability; build complex financial models, develop and implement financing plans; structure and negotiate commercial arrangements that can support financing commitments; and manage the process to financial close for Bechtel projects, together with legal and financial advisors. #LI-HB1 #LI-Hybrid</p> <p>This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Act as a leader within Bechtel Enterprises' financing team to secure financing for Bechtel's global projects and advance projects through development and finance milestones from an early stage. </li><li>Lead financing transactions from beginning to end, working closely with partners, outside advisors and internal development, legal, and EPC teams. </li><li>Lead financial and economic analysis of potential projects, new markets, new technologies, and M&A targets. </li><li>Spearhead project financing activities including financial modeling, investment evaluation, financing plan, both debt and equity financing. </li><li>Lead project bids and project financing services for capital projects, including preparing qualifications and proposals, negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements, and evaluating potential financing, development, and partnership structures. </li><li>Provide financial input to commercial structuring and negotiation process to ensure contracts can support financing commitments. </li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with the financing community. </li><li>Prepare and interface with senior management regarding financing strategy and current market terms and conditions. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <p>Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant work experience.</p> <p>Required Knowledge and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated expertise and transaction experience with project financing transactions. </li><li>Strong preference for experience financing energy sector projects (e.g., solar, CCGTs, battery storage, pumped hydro), including those with commercial offtake arrangements and/or merchant power risk. </li><li>Experience financing projects under a Build-Transfer, Public-Private Partnership, or similar commercial models helpful. </li><li>Outstanding communication, networking, negotiating, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Willingness to travel, including internationally (if necessary). </li><li>Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, finance, or a technical / engineering field. </li><li>Prefer Master's Degree or MBA. </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards/Benefits:</p> <p>For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
