Find your future with us.</p> <p>The Philadelphia Design Center (PDC) in Ridley Park, PA has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Structures and Analysis Engineer.</p> <p>The PDC supports new and legacy aerospace programs throughout the Boeing enterprise from Boeing Commercial, Boeing Defense, Boeing Space, & Boeing Global Services.</p> <p>This position is specifically looking for those candidates that have previous experience with stress analysis of mechanical systems and subsystem components</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design</p> </li><li> <p>Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations, and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the system design, characteristics, and performance</p> </li><li> <p>Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution, and analyzes test reports to validate and verify aircraft requirements and specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied</p> </li><li> <p>Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements</p> </li><li> <p>Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of system designs</p> </li><li> <p>Works with less experienced engineering teammates to complete tasks with the highest quality through mentoring and design reviews</p> </li><li> <p>Leads a team of engineers in completing larger statements of work, as required</p> </li></ul> <p>This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.</p> <p>This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Confidential Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final Post-Start is required.</p> <p>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of structural analysis engineering experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Level 3: Bachelors' and 5 or Master's and 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience</p> </li><li> <p>Level 4: Bachelors' and 9 or Master's and 7 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience performing analysis utilizing closed form classical methods and finite element analysis (FEA) on airplane systems installations</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarization with Boeing tools i.e.: IAS, CSW, GKJoint, IDTAS, DTANAL, LifeWorks, JOLT, etc</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with common FEM tools such as NASTRAN/Patran, Hypermesh, OptiStruct, and ABAQUS</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with FAA regulatory certification</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with the qualification of subsystem components</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with airplane subsystems such as ECS, Flight Controls, Flight Deck Integration, Hydraulics, Electrical Equipment Installation, Fuel Systems, and Electrical Wiring Installation</p> </li></ul> <p>Typical education and experience:</p> <p>Level 3 - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering (e.g. Bachelor) and 5+ years' related work experience or a Master's and 3+ years or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience</p> <p>Level 4- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering (e.g. Bachelor) and 9+ years' related work experience or a Master's and 7+ years or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience</p> <p>Drug Free Workplace:</p> <p>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.</p> <p>Relocation:</p> <p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
