<p>Finance Budget Director (HEO) - Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing (Brookdale Campus)</p> <p>POSITION DETAILS</p> <p>The Finance and Budget Director will report directly to the Dean at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College in the City University of New York (CUNY). In addition to the CUNY title overview duties, responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee all aspects of the financial plans and budgeting processes for multiple funding sources for the School of Nursing, including all academic programs, grants, and research efforts. </li><li>Monitor and report on all Procurement and Accounts Payable functions related to the SON specifically regarding to ongoing payments, proposed vendors and OTPS spend. </li><li>Manage all financial reporting and compliance activities to ensure accurate, timely reporting and fiscal compliance. </li><li>Communicate effectively with internal and external finance teams as well as Hunter College, CUNY, the Research Foundation, and Hunter College Foundation budget offices to track, audit, and manage the budget and expenses. </li><li>Develop a planning process that incorporates all sources of funds and aligns resources with the school's strategic goals. </li><li>Drive efforts for a comprehensive budget process and analysis of financial data. </li><li>Provide strategic financial guidance for decision making related to resource allocations and operational planning. </li><li>Develop a master staffing plan related to needs analysis and empirical benchmarks. </li><li>Work with the finance office to develop nuanced drill-down analyses ad hoc. </li><li>Stay updated on CUNY, Hunter College, Research Foundation, Hunter College Foundation, and School of Nursing policies and systems related to finance and compliance, including CUNY First, CUNY Work, Work Day and others. </li><li>Implement technology-based solutions and automated business processes to facilitate financial planning, decision making, and reporting. </li><li>Manage professional staff responsible for budget and finance allocations and transactions. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and eight years' related finance experience required.</p> <p>Advanced proficiency and skills with Microsoft Office 365, Excel and financial management software and systems.</p> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, data-based decision making, and problem-solving skills.</p> <p>Senior leadership experience preferred.</p> <p>CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW</p> <p>Directs the budgeting function of a College or major program as well as related accounting operations.</p> <ul> <li>Formulates, prepares and oversees financial plans and budgeting processes </li><li>Manages all financial reporting and compliance activities, including preparation of financial statements, statistical reports, and funding determinations </li><li>Liaisons with internal and external financial auditors as well as various College, University and governmental representatives </li><li>Oversees analytical reporting and provides strategic financial guidance to support decisions regarding resource allocations and operational planning </li><li>Manages professional staff responsible for budget projections, allocations and transactions </li><li>Performs related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Title Name: Finance Budget Director</p> <p>CUNY TITLE</p> <p>Higher Education Officer</p> <p>FLSA</p> <p>Exempt</p> <p>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</p> <p>Salary commensurate with education and experience ($132,987 - $141,858).</p> <p>CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases.
