<p>NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK</p> <p>Job Title: .5 EL Teacher / .5 Special Education Teacher (High School)</p> <p>Location: Minuteman Regional Technical High School, Massachusetts</p> <p>Position Type: Full-Time (Split Role: 0.5 FTE EL / 0.5 FTE Special Education) Start Date: 8/19/2025 Application Deadline: 10 days from posting date</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Minuteman Regional High School, a public high school is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to fill a full-time position split between English Learner (EL) instruction and Special Education services. This role supports students in grades 9-12 and requires collaboration across departments to ensure that multilingual learners and students with disabilities receive equitable access to rigorous academic content and supportive services.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>As the EL Teacher (.5 FTE):</p> <p>Deliver English language development (ELD) instruction to high school English Learners in individual, small-group, and classroom settings.</p> <p>Collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate instruction and support content-area language development.</p> <p>Administer language proficiency assessments (e.g., ACCESS for ELLs) and contribute to progress monitoring and state/federal compliance.</p> <p>Support the implementation of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and WIDA ELD standards.</p> <p>As the Special Education Teacher (.5 FTE):</p> <p>Provide specially designed instruction aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).</p> <p>Deliver direct academic and/or learning strategies instruction in inclusion and pull-out settings.</p> <p>Participate in IEP meetings, write IEP goals, conduct academic evaluations, and maintain compliance with all DESE regulations.</p> <p>Collaborate with general education staff, families, and service providers to promote student growth and inclusion.</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <p>Valid Massachusetts DESE licensure in both of the following areas (or eligibility to obtain):</p> <p>English as a Second Language (5-12)</p> <p>Moderate Disabilities (5-12)</p> <p>Experience working with high school-aged students.</p> <p>Strong collaboration and communication skills.</p> <p>Commitment to inclusive education and culturally responsive teaching.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Experience in a public high school setting.</p> <p>Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.</p> <p>Familiarity with WIDA, SEI strategies, and IEP platforms (e.g., Aspen).</p> <p>Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).</p> <p>Compensation and Benefits:</p> <p>Salary according to the Minuteman Educators' Contract, commensurate with experience and education.</p> <p>Full-time benefits are available for this combined position.
