<p>Description</p> <p>The Materials Driver I is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of raw materials and finished goods between bioMérieux locations. This role supports warehouse and manufacturing operations by performing physical material handling, executing real-time system transactions, and upholding all cGMP, ISO, and FDA requirements. The position also contributes to lean practices, workplace organization, and efficient material flow to internal customers.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate a medium- to large-sized box truck while adhering to all State and Federal vehicle regulations. </li><li>Follow OSHA warehouse safety guidelines and all internal safety policies. </li><li>Drive designated delivery routes as assigned by leadership. </li><li>Physically and electronically move materials to designated locations using warehouse equipment. </li><li>Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and monitor maintenance needs. </li><li>Verify quality of delivered materials. </li><li>Receive, count, and store incoming materials from multiple suppliers. </li><li>Log logistics KPI data and maintain bins and shelving. </li><li>Replenish materials daily in support of internal customers ("Just in Time"). </li><li>Process material transactions to ensure accuracy across all departmental activities. </li><li>Accurately log, label, track, and transport material lot information in Warehouse Management systems. </li><li>Support identification and movement of non-conforming materials. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. </li><li>Valid Utah Driver's License. </li><li>No prior experience required (some experience preferred). </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Materials handling experience in medical device or regulated environments. </li><li>Forklift certification. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Commitment to bioMérieux values and integrity. </li><li>Effective verbal communication. </li><li>Ability to maintain positive working relationships. </li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent multitasking. </li><li>Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel). </li><li>Understanding of warehouse operations and material handling processes. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions & Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods. </li><li>Ability to climb stairs and ladders. </li><li>Ability to wear PPE most of the day. </li><li>Ability to operate heavy machinery. </li><li>Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. </li><li>No travel required (0% domestic; 0% international). </li><li>Must be able to work in warehouse environments with variable temperatures, repetitive motion, and extended periods of standing/bending. </li><li>Must be able to operate warehouse material handling equipment. </li><li>Overtime may be required. </li></ul>
