<p>Position Description</p> <p>POSITION TITLE: ARD Facilitator</p> <p>FLSA: Exempt Professional</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of special ed teaching experience </li><li>Valid Texas teaching certificate from accredited college or university </li><li>Special Education endorsement </li><li>Knowledge of ARD procedures </li><li>Experience as a special education classroom teacher preferred </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO:</p> <p>Director of Special Education</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <p>Teacher calendar days and benefits provided according to Board policy</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Meet timeline requirements for anual ARD meetings. </li><li>Meet compliance requirements for documentation of required IEP elements. </li><li>Ensure all required notices and consents are sent within timelines and tracked through a documented system. </li><li>Assess effectiveness of ARD structure. </li><li>Coordinate schedules with lead teachers, principals, parents and others as appropriate. </li><li>Maintain positive and effective relationships with supervisor, principals and teachers. </li><li>Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule and local board policy. </li><li>Participate in staff development activities to improve skills related to job assignment. </li><li>Comply with all district and local campus routines and regulations. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
