<p>Pay Schedule VI, Grade 27, Regular Schedule: 35 hours per week</p> <p>A vacancy exists in the Department of Public Works and Transportation, General Administration.</p> <p>A list of eligible applicants will be established based on the examination as outlined below.</p> <p>Current and future vacancies occurring in this classification may be filled from the list of eligible applicants.</p> <p>All interested transferandpromotional candidates must apply at this time.</p> <p>List all promotionsand changes in job duties due toreclassificationas separate work experience on your application. Proof of licenses, certifications, and/or education must be submitted with each application.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <p>Under close supervision, performs routine professional human resources administration work.</p> <p>Examples of Other Duties</p> <ul> <li>Reviews employment applications and recommends acceptance or rejection based on established minimum qualifications for positions. </li><li>Participates in job analyses to identify requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for examination development. </li><li>Participates in development of examinations, including written, oral and performance exams and ratings of training and experience. </li><li>Administers employment examinations. </li><li>Provides information to applicants regarding job opportunities and application procedures. </li><li>Participates in job analyses for classification purposes. </li><li>Reviews position descriptions, performs desk audits of positions, and recommends allocation of positions to appropriate classes. </li><li>Drafts new and revised class specifications. </li><li>Participates in limited classification and compensation surveys. </li><li>Participates in the unemployment insurance cost control program. </li><li>Assists in the development and maintenance of automated personnel recordkeeping systems. </li><li>Assists in interpreting applicable personnel law, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and memoranda of understanding. </li><li>Delivers employee training sessions from develop curriculum. </li><li>Participates in limited curriculum redesign. </li><li>Prepares draft correspondence and reports. </li><li>Participates in special projects as assigned. </li><li>May coordinate the activities of clerical or support personnel. </li><li>May represent the department at meetings or on committees. </li><li>Performs other related duties as required. </li></ul> <p>(NOTE: The duties and responsibilities listed above are for the purpose of determining a common set of minimum qualifications for all positions in this class. Each position may not be required to perform all of the essential job functions listed.)</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources administration, business or public administration, education, or psychology.</p> <p>(Experience in human resources administration may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required education.)</p> <p>Proof ofLicenses, Certifications and Education</p> <p>Applicants are required to submit proof of licenses, certifications and education beyond high school to meet the required and preferredqualifications of the position. Diplomas or transcripts must show the applicant's major field of study. Copies and unofficial transcripts are acceptable.</p> <p>Proof of Degree Equivalency</p> <p>Applicants who have obtained a degree from outside the United States of America are required to submit degree equivalence documentation from World Education Services, Inc. Some positions may involve occasional travel between work sites.</p> <p>Employment Background Investigation</p> <p>Applicants selected for employment with Baltimore County must successfully complete an employment background investigation, including, but not limited to criminal background, education, and fingerprint checks.</p>
