<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Director of Facilities</p> <p>Mehlville School District</p> <p>Facilities Department</p> <p>2026-2027 School Year</p> <p>Position Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks and responding to work orders submitted from various people throughout the District. Supervise the maintenance and custodial departments.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>Requires high school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Certification in Asbestos Awareness Program </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Five plus years of job-related experience. </li><li>Prior supervisory/managerial experience. </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain safe district buildings and grounds to meet student and staff needs, and comply with legal regulations and district policies </li><li>Manage maintenance & custodial staff, recommend new hires, and evaluate staff </li><li>Manage capital fund projects by coordinating with architects, engineers, and construction vendors to ensure that bids and work are completed in a timely, quality manner within budget and approved specifications and in compliance with laws and regulations. </li><li>Reviews and approves bid specifications, and reviews and approves bid openings & acceptance </li><li>Maintains replacement schedules for recurring capital items, including roofing, HVAC, asphalt, and facilities vehicles for up to 20 years in the future </li><li>Review and analyze contracts/maintenance agreements, and manage contractors for maintenance services </li><li>Manage maintenance work order system priorities to optimize effective work order completion, and provide reports for key benchmark work order statistics </li><li>Communicate bid presentations and capital project status updates to the Board of Education </li><li>Communicate and coordinate work updates with all management levels including principals, district administration, and the Superintendent </li><li>Develop feasibility assessments for work requests, building expansions and remodeling </li><li>Submit and manage the department budget and utilize funds efficiently and effectively </li><li>Inspect systems, equipment and grounds to ensure proper functioning and conditions </li><li>Research and evaluate new technology for the maintenance and custodial staff </li><li>Chairs the Facilities Committee, member of the Policy Committee </li><li>Other duties as deemed reasonable by your manager </li></ul> <p>Application Deadline: Open Until Filled</p> <p>Qualified individuals who wish to apply for this position should complete an on-line application by visiting: MEHLVILLE JOB OPENINGS</p> <p>Sherri Cox</p> <p>Human Resources</p> <p>3120 Lemay Ferry Road</p> <p>St. Louis, MO 63125</p> <p>314-467-5101</p> <p>Mehlville School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and E-Verify Participant</p> <p>We appreciate your interest in Mehlville School District!</p> <p>You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.</p> <p>OK</p>
