<p>The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) is a leader in energy and environmental products and services for power and industrial markets worldwide. Our headquarters in Akron, Ohio is currently seeking an Intern/Co-op to join our Lancaster Operations team out of the Lancaster, Ohio facility. The internship will provide educational, hands-on experience to students pursuing careers in engineering under the guidance of the District Service Manager, Field Engineering Services.</p> <p>This is a Spring/Summer 2025 intern/co-op position. The selected candidate must commit to working full-time (32 - 40 hours/week) during the summer.</p> <ul> <li>Reading and interpreting assembly drawings, general arrangement drawings, and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) drawings. </li><li>Shadowing senior engineers to learn more about our products. </li><li>Providing insight and solutions to solve problems for customers. </li><li>Assisting with customer proposals and projects. </li><li>Currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year program, working towards an Engineering degree </li><li>Current GPA of 3.0 or higher, preferred </li><li>Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications </li><li>Capacity to handle confidential information </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills </li><li>Ability to follow instructions and work independently with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Positive attitude and willingness to learn </li><li>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. </li></ul>
