Provide the English Language Learner (ELL) the opportunity to grasp the academic, social, and cultural aspects of the English language through the teaching of reading, writing, listening & speaking, while encouraging active student engagement.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>? NYS ESOL (K-12) Certification</p> <p>? Bilingual in Spanish preferred</p> <p>? Fingerprinting clearance required</p> <p>Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to):</p> <p>? Meet and teach assigned classes and caseload</p> <p>? Design and deliver instruction aligned with the Next Generation Learning Standards to ensure rigorous, standards-based teaching and learning</p> <p>? Differentiate instruction to meet the academic and developmental needs of learners at varying levels and promote equitable access to the curriculum</p> <p>? Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and supports all students</p> <p>? Maintain accurate and complete records to track the progress of individual students</p> <p>? Communicate with parents regarding the progress of individual students</p> <p>? Use assessment tools to guide instruction</p> <p>? Strive by instruction and action to implement the district's philosophy of education, instructional goals and objectives</p> <p>?
