This role will fill a temporary vacancy and as such is pivotal in meeting the mental health needs of our students through direct clinical service and outreach/education; and assisting in the support and professional formation of trainee clinicians (as appropriate).</p> <p>PRIMARY DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Provide multiculturally competent clinical services within a short-term therapy framework to students of the University. This includes individual counseling/psychotherapy, crisis intervention, clinical documentation, and initiating appropriate referrals. </li><li>On-site presence 3-4 days per week, with a direct clinical load of 18-22 hours/week is expected. </li><li>Maintain appropriate clinical documentation. </li><li>Participate in weekly staff meetings and group case consultation. </li><li>Occasional consultation with faculty or staff regarding students of concern, as needed. </li><li>As available, provide workshops and presentations to classrooms, in residence halls, and for student organizations as requested by faculty, Student Development staff, and student leaders. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Fully licensed in Missouri in a mental health related field (Counseling/Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy). License-eligible candidates are welcome to inquire. </li><li>Completed license-eligible degree (master's or higher) from an accredited program in a mental health related field (Counseling/Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy). </li><li>Relevant experience applicable to providing mental health counseling to college students. </li><li>Proficiency in and commitment to multicultural competence and experience working with individuals from culturally diverse populations, including underrepresented and/or underserved populations. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>For the purpose of telehealth services, full licensure in Kansas in a mental health related field (Counseling/Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy). </li><li>Minimum one (1) year of experience in a University Counseling Center setting. </li><li>Proficiency with diagnostic tools (DSM-5-TR). </li><li>Ability to work effectively with traditional and non-traditional college students. </li><li>Experience with mental health prevention and outreach activities. </li><li>Experience working with students affected by sexual assault, disordered eating, and body image concerns. </li><li>Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., Titanium). </li></ul> <p>Deadline:</p> <p>Review of applications will begin immediately.
