<p>Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician JobID: 689</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Electrical/Mechanical</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/19/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Water & Sewer Department</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>ASAP</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Open until filled.</p> <p>  </p> <p>ELECTRO-MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN</p> <p>Sewer Division - Water & Sewer Department</p> <p>Summary: Performs electrical and mechanical preventive maintenance, installation and repair on equipment, structures, grounds and buildings. Exercises independent judgment in solving normal work problems and performs tasks in accordance with professional trade standards. Analyzes electrical and mechanical equipment failure and recommends appropriate repair or replacement to prevent repetitive equipment failure, in order to improve the operational dependability of the equipment. Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical and/or electronic operating and control system, equipment and fixtures including meters, outlets, panels, instrumentation, telemetry and telecommunications systems, heating and cooling systems, pumps and other mechanical equipment and all related work. Responsible for electric code upkeep, performs plumbing, and minor carpentry work. Keeps records and prepares written reports and estimates.</p> <p>Work Schedule: 40 hours per/week. Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 .a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Responds to after hour emergencies on a call-in basis, may be required to work overtime as needed.</p> <p>Working Conditions: Exposed to weather, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, toxic conditions, dust, poor ventilation, and risk of bodily injury.</p> <p>Physical Demands: Involves climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, reaching, handling, etc.</p> <p>Qualifications: Requires CT E2 Electrical Journeyman license and valid CT Driver's license. Must have 3 years experience including maintenance and repair of equipment, instrumentation and control systems found in wastewater treatment plants, OR be Electrical Trade School graduate.
