DOE</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Cares for patients in nursing home under direction of nursing and medical staff, by performing the following duties.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Follows all nursing home policies and procedures governing the care of the resident </li><li>Answers call lights, safety alarms or paging system to determine patients' needs </li><li>Bathes, dresses, and undresses patients </li><li>Serves and collects food trays and feeds patients requiring assistance </li><li>Transports patients or assists patients to walk </li><li>Assists patients during examinations and treatments, and remains with patients to perform such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lights </li><li>Turns and repositions bedfast patients, alone or with assistance, to prevent pressure ulcers </li><li>Changes bed linens, empties trash cans, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone </li><li>Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed </li><li>All Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) must be accurately documented using either computerized means (or manual as necessary) </li><li>Other duties may be assigned </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</p> <p>Current Colorado Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) certificate</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
