<p>Under the direction of the Director of Nursing-LTC, coordinates all Medicare assessments, care planning and reimbursement activities for the facility to assure compliance with regulatory agencies.</p> <p>naEDUCATION:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from a Registered Professional Nursing Program. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>BSN </li></ul> <p>LICENSE:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license </li></ul> <p>PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Certification in MDS and PRI </li></ul> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>BLS through RQI upon hire </li></ul> <p>WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with documentation requirements for reimbursement. </li><li>Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations, and survey process. </li><li>MDS, and care planning experience. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <p>Minimum:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated leadership abilities. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. </li><li>Computer literacy </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Microsoft Office products and MDS/care planning software </li></ul>
