<p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Assist Assistant Principal in developing and implementing a high-quality academic program for students.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in supervising all aspects of scholastic achievement of students.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a safe learning environment through pro-active support and discipline.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with faculty and staff to promote a sense of pride and belonging among students.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with Assistant Principal regarding over student discipline, attendance, and other student issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist staff in developing a positive learning environment that addresses the needs of all learners.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with guidance counselors, social workers, and other support staff to ensure the total development of the students.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain close contact with the students' homes as well as with the attendance officers.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor student attendance, and ensure compliance with school committee policies regarding attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Assistant Principal in all aspects of maintaining a safe and positive climate for students and staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all other duties as assigned by the Head of School and Assistant Principal.</p> </li></ol> <p>REQUIREMENT</p> <ol> <li> <p>A Master's degree from an accredited college or university.</p> </li><li> <p>Licensure valid for service as a teacher in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.</p> </li><li> <p>Licensure valid for service as a Principal/Assistant Principal or Supervisor/Director in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in curriculum and student support services.</p> </li><li> <p>At least five years successful teaching or related experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent interpersonal skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated computer proficiency preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent problem-solving skills.</p> </li></ol> <p>Salary: Per LSAA contract</p>
