<p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Performs facility and equipment maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Documents through use of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). </li><li>Conducts preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on basic facility systems such as plumbing, medical gas, fire alarm, HVAC and electrical systems. </li><li>Manage response and repairs associated with emergencies such as leaks, floods, water outages, fires, power outages, equipment failures, etc. </li><li>Reads blueprints, Life Safety drawings and maintenance manuals to gain knowledge needed to complete assignments. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Driver's License </li></ul> <p>Education Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED equivalent </li></ul> <p>Experience Required:</p> <ul> <li>Less than 2 Years Experience in equipment maintenance </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:</p> <ul> <li>Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures. </li><li>Basic computer skills in using systems such as CMMS, building automation system, Microsoft Office. </li><li>Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work with minimal oversight with basic technical skills in facility maintenance. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Works required shifts and participates in on-call duty to provide 24/7 coverage. </li><li>Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, crawl, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead, lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to chest-level, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance. </li><li>Must be able to push/pull with 50 lbs. of force. </li><li>Exposure to electrical and mechanical hazards and therefore knowledge of safety precautions. </li><li>Position requires travel. May be exposed to road/weather hazards. </li><li>Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Trade/Tech School Certificate </li><li>Trade/Tech School Trades Certificate or trades or industry recognized certification/license requiring Continuing Education or periodic renewal to maintain. </li><li>Preferred: 1+ Years of Experience in relatable industrial/trades maintenance or operations. </li></ul> <p>This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
