<p>General Information</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <p>Work Location: Los Angeles, USA</p> <p>Onsite or Remote</p> <p>Fully On-Site</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Monday-Friday, variable schedule between the hours of 6:30am and 5:00pm</p> <p>Posted Date</p> <p>05/14/2025</p> <p>Salary Range: $29.42 - 42.14 Hourly</p> <p>Employment Type</p> <p>2 - Staff: Career</p> <p>Duration</p> <p>Indefinite</p> <p>Job #</p> <p>24260</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <p>Under the supervision of the Manager, responsible for scheduling general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures for outpatient and inpatient in both Westwood and Santa Monica sites.</p> <p>Major duties include: Scheduling patients in person and over the phone, verifying insurance benefits for requested procedures, confirming and obtaining appropriate authorization for office visits, procedures, therapies, etc., informing patients of their financial responsibility before their appointment, confirming appointments with appropriate preparation instructions, coordinating interdepartmental services (transport, anesthesia, EEG, etc), coordinating/collaborating with other UC Departments and performing special projects as assigned.</p> <p>Pay Range: $29.42 - $42.14 / hour</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook e-mail, Word, Excel and basic knowledge of PC applications. </li><li>Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate decisions with minimum supervision. </li><li>Strong communication skills to interact with psychiatric patients and explaining department's policies as they relate to appointment scheduling, billing, collections and registration. </li><li>Experience in working as part of a team, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with all staff members, management and the public. </li><li>Skill in organizing and prioritizing assignments. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Care Connect (EPIC) systems. </li><li>Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, HMO's, PPO's, third party payors, etc., authorizations and eligibility requirements and regulations. </li></ul> <p>As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer.</p>
