<p>Job Summary</p> <ul> <li>The Transfer Center Supervisor acts as the day-to-day operations supervisor of the Transfer Center and supervises all activities handled by the Transfer Center. </li><li>The Transfer Center Supervisor assists the Transfer Center nurse in the management and through put of patients into, out of, and within the Tower Health, Health System. </li><li>This includes but is not limited to assistance with patient placement, direct admissions, transfers, and referrals. </li><li>The Transfer Center Supervisor also assists with operator phone calls, performs EMS call intake, performs emergency medical dispatch triage, dispatches EMS units, EVS staff, EVS staff, inhouse transport resources, wheelchair vans, security, emergency teams and outsources transport requests that are not being handled by TowerDIRECT units. </li><li>The Communication Coordinator Transfer Center Supervisor also handles transfer center cases and Emergency Management requests. </li><li>The Transfer Center Supervisor will also support the Registered Nurses with daily operations, handle assigned administrative tasks, and handle scheduling. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree</p> <p>Overview</p> <ul> <li>BLS Certification </li><li>Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) within 6 months of hire </li><li>National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 700, 800, 100, & 200 within 6 months of hire </li><li>APCO Communications Center Supervisor certification within 6 months of hire </li></ul>
