<p>Position Type:</p> <p>EPED (Extra Pay for Extra Duty)/Coordinator/Director</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/15/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Grosse Pointe North High School</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Filled</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Grosse Pointe Public Schools&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>The Grosse Pointe Public School System's Robotics Club - "GP Gearheads" - is searching for a Coordinator beginning with the 2025-2026.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a physical science, a field of mathematics, or a field of engineering.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team Dashboard.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in design, fabrication, and controls of robotics systems at the FRC level, and ability to coordinate adult mentors to help students learn and excell at these activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to teach students basic mechanics, electronics, and power transfer as it relates to robotics.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to coordinate the activities of adult mentors to help students achieve their goals at the Gearheads.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability and willingness to work 25+ hours/week during the FRC regular season (January through April) and 10+ hours/week during the off-season (May through December) in the following activities:</p> </li><li> <p>Open the shop and supervise students in the robotics shop at GPN;</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate team travel to and from competitions, community out-reach activities, and other team functions;</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise and chaperone students at regular season and off-season FRC competitions, community out-reach events, and other team activities;</p> </li><li> <p>Perform required administrative functions for an FRC team;</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate mentors working with students in technical and non-technical functions to help students learn, and achieve their personal goals;</p> </li><li> <p>Instruct students in your area of expertise so that they successfully apply what they learn in class to more real-world problems not available in the standard secondary school curriculum;</p> </li><li> <p>Unify students and mentors into a team, and coordinate activities to define and achieve team goals.</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary in accordance with the GPEA/MEA, EPED Salary Schedule for Club Class V - $4,925.</p> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>Please email your interest to Kevin Shubnell, North High School Principal - shubnek@gpschools.org by July 20, 2025.
