<p>General Information</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <p>Work Location: Los Angeles, USA</p> <p>Onsite or Remote</p> <p>Flexible Hybrid</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm PST</p> <p>Posted Date</p> <p>03/04/2025</p> <p>Salary Range: $29.53 - 46.37 Hourly</p> <p>Employment Type</p> <p>2 - Staff: Career</p> <p>Duration</p> <p>Indefinite</p> <p>Job #</p> <p>22855</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <p>As a Patient Authorization Representative, you will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Pre-encountering and pre-registering patients as well as providing registration support to patients, clinic staff, and managers </li><li>Verifying insurance and enter insurance benefits information into the CareConnect system prior to appointments </li><li>Determining co-pays and deductibles; confirming and obtaining appropriate insurance authorization </li><li>Informing patients of their financial responsibility </li><li>Answering a busy phone system </li><li>Delivering exceptional customer service to patients, faculty, staff, vendors, insurance company representatives, and registration representatives </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $29.53 - $46.37 Hourly</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <p>We're seeking a flexible, customer-focused, detail-oriented individual with:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with pharmaceutical/medical insurance verification and authorization </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills </li><li>Working knowledge of third-party payor verification terminology </li><li>Background with relevant state and federal programs, including Medicare, Medi-Cal, and CCS programs </li><li>Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and CareConnect system </li><li>Experience with medical office procedures, including scheduling appointments </li></ul> <p>As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer.</p>
