<p>DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The Tenth Judicial District, which includes eight counties in the Northern Suburbs of the Twin Cities Metro Area, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Court Operations Associate to join the Anoka County Court Administration team in Anoka, MN.</p> <p>This exciting position involves delivering exceptional service to court customers, judges, and other court-related employees by clerking civil, criminal, family, juvenile, and traffic case types. This position is a live courtroom, hands-on opportunity. We are seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-performance environment. As a Court Operations Associate, you will have the opportunity to work independently and as a part of a team, using your independent judgment and available resources to handle a variety of administrative tasks. Join us in this impactful role and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering outstanding service in the legal system.</p> <p>WHAT YOU WILL DO</p> <p>The following are examples of major job duties expected of this position:</p> <ul> <li>Independently performs administrative work relating to criminal, juvenile, traffic, probate, jury, conciliation, civil, and/or family, case processing in the Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS), Microsoft Office, electronic File and Serve (EFS), SharePoint, and other related computer systems. </li><li>Perform live courtroom support by working with judges, court reporters, and other justice partners, This includes calling cases, capturing minutes, and handling documents in the courtroom. </li><li>Schedule and maintain court calendars for an assigned judge. This includes working with attorneys and self-represented litigants on finding court dates for the assigned judge, sending applicable notices, and processing certain orders signed by the judge. </li><li>May perform the duties of an Electronic Recording Equipment Operator (EREO) including setting up and testing recording equipment and recording and monitoring court proceedings. </li><li>Attends and participates in division/team meetings and trainings; maintains knowledge of court policies, process, and procedures. </li><li>Provide assistance to attorneys, parties, judges, and the public by responding to a variety of questions in-person, over the phone, by mail, and/or electronically. </li><li>Perform a variety of advanced clerical functions in multiple case types. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>The Minnesota Judicial Branch recognizes the diverse set of skills, strengths, and attributes that an individual may bring into a role. If you have any combination of the experience, training, and education required for this position, apply today!</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work. </li></ul> <p>NICE TO HAVE</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft office Suite, with the ability to learn other job-related software. </li><li>Certificate or degree in a related field. </li><li>Basic knowledge of court procedures, policies, and records management. </li><li>Experience with electronic document applications, workflow queues and web-based video and audio platforms. </li></ul> <p>WHAT YOU WILL BRING</p> <ul> <li>Ability to learn rules of court, state statutes, case processing, policies, and procedures of the area of court assigned. </li><li>Skill in navigating difficult situations and resolving conflict in a respectful and courteous manner. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing . </li><li>Ability to provide exceptional customer service while working under pressure in a high volume, fast-paced environment . </li><li>Skill in the operation of a personal computer, including electronic case management system and related applications and equipment. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within and outside of the Judicial Branch. </li><li>Ability to effectively support court users who have limited experience with the judicial system. </li><li>Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters and files appropriately and in compliance with all applicable court rules, policies, and statutes. </li><li>Well-organized, detail-oriented, and analytical. </li></ul> <p>SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION</p> <ul> <li>This AFSCME-represented position is located in the Anoka County Courthouse at 2100 3rd Ave. Anoka, MN 55303 </li><li>Work is performed primarily in an office-setting, a public counter and/or in a courtroom. </li><li>The expected hiring range for external hires for this position is $22.50 to $27.42/hr, based on qualifications, with a full future earning potential of $46,980- $71,848 annually. </li><li>This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. </li><li>Core business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Initial days off: Saturday, Sunday, and Court Designated Holidays. </li></ul>
